Armed Conflict in Colombia

The conflict in Colombia lasted for over five decades and was never a simple matter of one side versus the other. The 53 year conflict came to an official end in 2016 when a Peace Agreement was signed between the Colombian Government and the FARC-EP (The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia), a left wing group founded in 1964.
